The Dieckman Group, LLC, is a consulting company with Craig Dieckman as its principal consultant focusing on information technology, business continuity, and emergency preparedness.

We help businesses and organizations to understand and use information technology (IT). Sometimes we are hired for a particular project and other times our clients just want to get their IT services from an external partner so they can focus on doing what they know best.

Our clients are also people who want to make sure their organization can continue to operate if they experience disasters ranging in scope from hardware failure to a loss of facilities, equipment, or staff. To that end, we offer practical, "let's get started, let's get done" advice and recommendations. We also have the experience to back it up.

About Craig Dieckman

Craig Dieckman is a technical consultant with 30 years of information technology (IT) experience.

He began his career serving for nine years as a full-time firefighter/paramedic in the northwest suburbs of Chicago before an injury forced him to leave a job he loved.

He then turned his focus to developing what had been his second passion, computer systems, into a series of successful senior positions in information technology. He worked with organizations which ranged in size and type from small start-up companies to large national corporations.

Craig formed the Dieckman Group in early-2005. His goal was to help small and mid-size companies apply information technology efficiently and professionally, just as he had done for companies of larger size.

Soon after starting his own business, Craig wanted to find a way to use his skills and technical expertise in some form of public service. It was when he visited the local Red Cross office with his daughter so she could do research for a school project that Craig was introduced to how the Red Cross uses technology at disaster relief operations. Soon Craig became an active volunteer in the Greater Chicago chapter and for a couple of years he was the volunteer lead for Disaster Services Technology for the seven-county chapter, the second largest chapter in the country. Craig was also an Emergency Communications Response Vehicle (ECRV) instructor, led the national ECRV Deployment Team, and was involved with emergency communications support. Craig has deployed to multiple hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods, as well as fires and other disasters in the greater Chicago area.

Today, Craig Dieckman, with his handpicked network of experienced technical professionals, collaborates to successfully help his clients understand and apply IT in their organizations, and to plan and prepare for business continuity and emergencies. The result is a personal and direct relationship with the client, backed by Craig's practical and proven experience.
